About Us
Found House Interfaith Housing Network’s (FHIHN) mission is to provide shelter, housing, and support to families experiencing housing insecurity and to strengthen those services through Interfaith and community partnerships. FHIHN’s vision includes:
• Keep families, including pets, together during the crisis of loss of housing;
• Help families to reestablish long-term, safe, affordable (and pet-friendly) housing;
• Reduce the rate of recidivism (returns to homelessness);
• Reduce the effects of the trauma of housing insecurity on parents, children, and pets.
Our organization is committed to keeping families together through crisis. Our Pet Support Program shelters animals for pet owners experiencing housing insecurity until they are back on their feet. This allows pet owners to access needed human services and keep animals from being surrendered to animal shelters!
