About This Item

Details

Apoquel is an oral chewable tablet that works differently than other skin allergy medications for dogs. It goes straight to the source to help relieve itch and inflammation at its core addressing the underlying cause of irritation and soothing allergic reactions. Apoquel Chewable provides rapid relief from allergic dermatitis and was demonstrated to control allergic pruritus within 24 hrs. Apoquel is ideal for both short or long-term treatment and can help to offer relief without many of the side effects associated with other medications.IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION: Do not use APOQUEL CHEWABLE in dogs less than 12 months of age or those with serious infections. APOQUEL CHEWABLE may increase the chances of developing serious infections, and may cause existing parasitic skin infestations or pre-existing cancers to get worse. Consider the risks and benefits of treatment in dogs with a history of recurrence of these conditions. New neoplastic conditions (benign and malignant) were observed in clinical studies and post-approval. APOQUEL CHEWABLE has not been tested in dogs receiving some medications including some commonly used to treat skin conditions such as corticosteroids and cyclosporines. Do not use in breeding, pregnant, or lactating dogs. Most common side effects are vomiting and diarrhea. APOQUEL CHEWABLE has been used safely with many common medications including parasiticides, antibiotics and vaccines. See full prescribing information below.

We directly source prescription medications from manufacturers and wholesale distributors registered with the FDA and licensed by applicable state boards. Guaranteed genuine, and where applicable, backed by the manufacturer.

So my dog has had terrible allergies since he was a puppy. I take him to the vet constantly. This round; however, I got a coupon from Chewy in the mail for the chewable version of apoquel. I decided to just try it but normally I have to take him in to get a steroid before taking the apoquel because his allergies are too far gone. THIS TYPE though I did not and it’s only been a week of him taking it. He looks so much better!!!

I ordered 16mg apoquel and then the next shipment came was 5.4 to be split in half. I am not paying almost $200. for the wrong dosage a third of the correct dose. She said she would send me a return label reluctantly and I didn’t receive it yet for a month! I’m done with this company because of the disappointing customer service I have been through. I’m a senior citizen on a fixed income and this has put a hardship on me. I’m going to cancel my subscription with chewy today. I have not used the lower dose because I was told it had to be sent back! I don’t think it’s safe to send medication to anyone else because you don’t know what it has been done to. But I don’t want to pay almost 200.00 for the wrong medication!

We got off to a rocky start when I first tried to setup auto ship. I received different stories from both the Vet and Chewy. Both told me they didn't work with each other. I find the communication was too convoluted to even try to explain... but, let me just say, my blood pressure was so high that I ended up being way too upset with my vet. I ended up having to apologize, in person, to my vet. Once auto ship is set up with Chewy, everything is working fine. The only issue I had today when changing auto ship was to alert the pharmacy tech that I wish the indication to change the date of auto ship was much more evident than it is because I definitely looked and ended up having to use CHAT. The pharmacy tech conversation was perfect with Brook. The price break is worth it in the end.

Easy to use chewable tablet my dog takes just like any other treat. I follow with a few pieces of kibble to make sure. It seems to wear off at about hour 20 of the 24hrs (daily) so I give in am and those 4 hours are at nighttime - so far working. Had to go twice daily at one point but for fall seasonal ragweed allergies it seems to be effective treatment. Gotta get to frost and we will be all set! Likely 2 weeks or a month to go! I like that If I see any side effects I could stop it over giving a Cytopoint shot which gave him 3 weeks of diarrhea last year & is in his system a while. A bit expensive but will take it over vet bills to treat hotspots/chew wounds etc. Plus I have a young dog so not likely he’s got any existing medical issues yet to be affected by this. This is also easier if you need to have someone care for your dog at any point. Easy instructions. FYI I’m also giving Nusentia probiotic, salmon oil in his salmon Canidae dry food. Plus a multivitamin chew. Wiping down thoroughly after coming in from potty walk too. And vacuuming with good hepa filter daily.

My pug has been taking Apoquel for treatment of her allergies. My impression of the medication is that it is reasonably effective for those purposes. My partner's experience from using Apoquel for those same purposes, in connection with her pug has led her to the same conclusion that i've reached. With both our pugs, it has been necessary to administer Benadryl in combination with the Apoquel. My partner's pug also gets an injection of another prescription medication every other month in order for her pug to achieve satisfactory relief. Both are veterinarians have informed us that resistance to the effect of Apoquel occurs after prolonged use and that over time temporary cessations of Apoquel's use is advisable reduce the likelihood of such resistance becoming permanent.

Poor Ivy has late summer skin allergies that cause severe itching. She would bite and chew her feet and scratch her neck until she was raw. Her vet prescribed Apoquel and the scratching stopped in just hours. Now I start giving her the tablets as soon as I notice her starting to itch in late July and continue daily until late October when we get frosty temps. No more scratching and biting and hair loss! Ivy is comfortable and gets to enjoy her walks in late summer again.

Apoquel is a life saver for rescue Pittie!

Our boy has terrible allergy issues. He bites, licks and scratches himself constantly without Apoquel. This product has been a life saver for our 95lb rescue Pittie. Apoquel did not work instantly, but in about 2 weeks of two 16mg tabs per day, he is much more comfortable, and doesn’t have any itchy issues. We have limited his treats, and also changed him to a limited ingredient diet. He is now 10 years old and doing great with Apoquel.

Works great, BUT

This stuff works really good for my heeler. Her allergies are itchy skin. The only reason I have 4 stars is due to the price. No way should dog’s pills for allergies

This stuff works really good for my heeler. Her allergies are itchy skin. The only reason I have 4 stars is due to the price. No way should dog’s pills for allergies be $3.07 per pill!!! It is absolute robbery. I recently for an alternate brand that is just as good. It is only $2.00 a pill which is still too high, but saves you money.

For the price, it is unbeatable. The ease it was to order, contacting the vet, and notifications was all superb. The ONLY bad thing was the week long delay with the shipping platform, Fed-Ex. It went feom Kentucky to Oregon, to Montana and then to me. It was a week late. Hopefully it will be better in the future.

This has worked wonders for both of our German Shepherds!!!

Both of our dogs deal with real bad skin itching. Loki's was so bad he would rub his paws raw. Atlas was not as bad, but constantly itched through out the year

Both of our dogs deal with real bad skin itching. Loki's was so bad he would rub his paws raw. Atlas was not as bad, but constantly itched through out the year. We tried multiple different things such as different food, fish oils, dog is human, and others. This medication started working immediately on both dogs. Now after a week Loki's paws are healing up and Atlas does not constantly itch.
