About Us
HSYC is committed to the care of homeless dogs and cats of our community. We work diligently to find rescues for those who don't find adopters or are not reclaimed by their owners. We provide an assortment of enrichment activities for the dogs and cats in our care so they don't become bored in their kennels.
We are proud to host the P.E.T.S. (Preventing Euthanasia Through Spay & Neuter) Clinic monthly at our shelter. Through the clinic, we are able to provide the community with high quality, low cost spays & neuters, as well walk-in clinics for vaccinations, heartworm/flea/tick preventatives, heartworm & FELV/FIV testing, dewormers, microchipping & nail trims.
We educate the community on the importance of spay & neuter to curb the overpopulation issue we continue to struggle with in our small rural shelter.
We believe education about vaccinations, heartworm prevention, & other health issues, along with training tips helps keep pets in their homes leading happy, healthy lives.
