About Us
Save A Dog is private, non-profit 501c3 humane society dedicated to rescuing, sheltering, and rehoming abandoned dogs. We work entirely for the good of each dog and are committed to find the most appropriate home for each dog. Save A Dog began in 1999 as an all-breed, all-volunteer dog rescue group and in 2008 moved into our permanent location at 604 Boston Post Road in Sudbury, Mass. Using a holistic protocol, dogs enjoy animal healing music and enjoy fresh chewies while resting on their kuranda beds. They receive daily exercise and socialization from the volunteers and are fed a high quality diet along with daily supplements to boost their immune systems. Each applicant receives a 32 page booklet to help prepare for adoption. We practice ongoing education with our adopters and provide onsite training whenever possible.
