Awful
I spent $264 for 3 dogs bought a variety. Did what I was supposed to and slowly transitioned the dogs and when we completely changed them over ( tried it with all 9 dogs) they all had diarrhea . It has been horrible and they really do not like any of it I have over half of it in the freezer and was going to call Chewy's. All 9 of my dogs got sick on it. I do not recommend it

My dog loves it. I use it as a topper on her food once a day. We consume about 20-25% of the 5 oz container, so one packet lasts for about 5 days. I'm not thrilled with the consistency. Other "fresh" food I've purchased is not as finely ground. I also would prefer to be able to order a smaller quantity. 30 packets x 5 days is 5 months of food for my dog.

My first experience was a little rough with Fedx being behind on shipping. it arrived many days after the delivery date, but one phone call to Chewy.com and they made it right and sent me fresh frozen meals to replace the order. They also made sure it would be shipped correctly and sent notifications of when it would be delivered. Once I got the second order, the Get Real meals are a definite hit! The dog absolutely loves it!

The food itself is good though Ben only tried two flavors so far and he ate it right up. I had to cancel the autoship though because it does take up a lot of freezer space and I know in 4 weeks I won't have the room for more since I use it as a topper. I wish there was more flexibility where you could order it as needed like with other dog food or at least auto ship farther out.

I have a 13y/o yorkie with a variety of health problems (allergies, frequent UTI's, and most recently pulmonary hypertension). We had thought she was allergic to poultry, so we were only feeding her salmon or fish formulas, but we never knew for sure. We had Harley on RX dry food for a while and tried a variety of toppers, mix-ins etc. to help with her allergies and make sure she was getting some extra yummies when it came to meal time. Her allergies never really seemed to fully get better. When I signed up for Get Real, I anticipated I would keep using it as a topper to mix in with her kibble, but as her allergies started clearing, she was becoming more 'regular'., and she was SO excited for meal-time, I decided to switch to Get Real full feed. AND, best part of all, her allergies totally cleared up even on the chicken & turkey recipes, which makes me think her allergies were mainly environmental, or from something else in her kibble. At 13 years old her allergies have never been better. Also, I love that the veggies are pretty much emulsified into the formula because Harley would typically pick out the protein bits and leave the fruits and veggies un-touched. Thankfully, she chows down on everything and is actually getting the fiber and extra vitamins from the brussel sprouts, cranberries, carrots, sweet potato etc. We recently had to have Harley hospitalized due to her pulmonary hypertension and the ONLY thing she would eat at the ER was her Get Real. That's when I knew I wasn't going back to kibble. #ChewyTeamRated

We use this as a topper (40%) and my dog devours his food within seconds, licks his bowl clean, and the spoon that scoops it out. He loves all of the flavors! We've noticed his joints don't seem as achy (he just his senior status), and his fur is softer than it's been in YEARS. He has terribly dry skin, and it has improved tremendously. Maxwell is a Get Real fanatic. #chewyteamrated

Maybe I have picky dog but she refused to eat it. I tried heating it up as well but no go. There is some water in the mix as mentioned in other reviews but I don’t see that as a problem. If your dog is a picky eater I would not recommend.

My dogs love the food but it’s too mushy. I have an English and French Bulldog and they can’t get it all out of the bowl. They need food that is chunky. I might try mixing with kibble to see if that helps but defeats the purpose.

Maxwell, while food motivated, was unmotivated by his dry food, refusing to eat breakfast until it was almost dinner time. His skin was full of dandruff and he was itchy with aging joints in his new senior status. We started slowly transitioning to Get Real and he would eat immediately. Now we have transitioned to a 50/50 feed of Get Real + dry food, and his fur is noticeably softer, shinier, with significantly less dandruff, he jumps in and out of the car without hesitation or limping, and his energy has increased. We have been feeding our picky eaters Blue Buffalo and Hill’s Science Diet for years by spoon. We literally had to beg them to eat and follow them around to feed them. Our female even skipped meals!! Then I found Get Real and ordered a 6 week trial deal. We add a few Tablespoons mixed in their other wet food and mix it. Not only are our dogs readily eating EVERY meal, but no more spoon feeding!!! They love all three flavors!!!

The product arrived quickly and was packaged very neatly—off to a great start! The presentation is top-notch, and the portions are just right for my 10-pound pup, Max. So far, he’s tried both the Beef and Turkey recipes, and I was thrilled to see him dive right in on the very first night. The consistency is excellent—moist, with real chunks of meat that are perfectly sized for smaller dogs like Max. He’s a notoriously picky eater, and I’m always looking for ways to keep him interested in his meals. A week in, and he’s still licking the bowl clean at every feeding! Get Real has truly made mealtime enjoyable again—for both of us. Highly recommend!

As always, Chewy gets your things to you quickly. The food is perfect. My cats sure like it, too. You can tell that is human grade with REAL food. The beef and sweet potato actually has chunks of sweet potatoes. Our boy is 16 and not feeling good. I got this in hopes that he would regain some of his appetite. He has enjoyed it. He likes the turkey with cranberries the best. I'm guessing because the berries are sweet. Rook loves all things sweet.

The food smells good, sometimes I can smell the true ingredients. My dogs stools have never been more regular, even with a switch in kibble. He loves his GetReal so much! My only gripe is the packaging can be super difficult to open, especially for my grandma who is getting older now.

Our dog Buddy is pretty laid back but since he’s been eating this food his energy has, at very least, doubled! Instead of sleeping or barking, he’s now out chasing anything that moves in the yard. He also initiates play with us more often, hopping around us and wanting to play tug-a-war. He’s been way too serious most of the time. Buddy’s definitely a happier dog. The food has made a big difference in him. We highly recommend giving it a try for a month or two. We think you’ll notice the difference too.

We did extensive research of all options before selecting Get Real. Our pups, English Bulldogs, have been on it for several weeks now and doing very well. They had no tummy upset with the transition off kibble and they ADORE this food! Their internal clock on feeding time has always been good but now they also line up in front of me at meal time as an added reminder (thanks guys). Our vet told me they are both fat (ugh) and we decided a raw, non-processed diet would be the best way to address it. We looked into doing it ourselves (too much hassle) and at virtually all the other raw food options (felt like taking out a 2nd mortgage) and so we signed up for a regular subscription for both Turkey and Beef. I have to say from the smell they seem delicious (i'm unwilling to try) and our pups have confirmed their delight. The service experience has been equally awesome. I had so many questions before, during and after purchase and the chat feature on Chewy was terrific. I go prompt, thorough and helpful responses to each question. We are long time Chewy users and this experience has underscored our satisfaction. I'll check back in a few months for an update on Archie and Tomaso's progress with weight reduction. Finger's crossed!

My dog is a very picky eater, but I tried this new food: I had high hopes. But alas, after filling my freezer so there’s no room for human food, he turns his nose up at this mush. I will cancel any further orders. It may be good for other dogs, but not mine.
